Mediterranean Cuisine: Cleaned Mussels With Wine & Garlic

Yields: 2 Servings Difficulty: Easy Prep Time: 5 Mins Cook Time: 20 Mins Total Time: 25 Mins

I just simply adore seafood and how healthy it is. Mussels in particular, they are high in protein and low in fat. This is great news for anyone on a calorie restricted diet, as it shows it’s possible to enjoy exciting meals that are healthy without sacrificing flavor They are also high in zinc, iron and other minerals, vitamins A and B12. As a suggestion for your self-love for this weekend, I suggest you this delicious recipe, mussels in a delicious sauce. The magical sauce happens when the mussels are being cook, they give out so much water. And not just any water, it’s a delicious mussel-y seafood-ish water (you don’t need salt either). It seems like a lot water at first, so feel free to let some evaporate before serving, or enjoy it saucy with the ingredients added below. I am already in love with this magic! Serve it with a glass of white wine.

  • Fry the mussels in oil first. Then add the garlic, let it fry a little to release the smell, then the wine, the lemon cut into pieces, add salt (i you don't find it naturally salty enough) and leave everything to rise. Add the parsley.
  • I added a little more garlic paste to make the sauce thicker and a little rosemary, so you can add as you wish.
  • Enjoy this wonderful meal with a glass of white wine.
