  • Mix the water, dry yeast and honey and leave for 5 minutes in a bowl.
  • Add the flour, oil and salt and mix the mixture with a wooden spoon. Leave for another 5 minutes, then knead a ball of dough. Add a little more flour if needed.
  • Put the ball of dough in a greased bowl and let it stand for 1 hour (it should double in size).
  • After 1 hour, make 4 smaller balls from the dough ball. Roll each ball with your hands or roller into a pie about 1 cm high.
  • Take a large baking sheet (just a little greased), preheat the oven to 230 degrees with the baking sheet inside, then place two pies to bake on the hot baking sheet. Do not open the oven for 4 minutes, and after 7 minutes you can take them out. In this way, the dough turns into glues that get a dent inside like a pocket that can be cut to fill. Leave them to cool, and do the same with the other two pies.
  • Make the sauces only by combining the listed ingredients in a blender.
  • I buy already prepared doner meat (it is available in some markets), and you can make it yourself by roasting a large piece of meat at a high temperature, and then chopping thin slices of it. Instead of meat, you can put mushrooms on a grill pan for a vegetarian option.
  • Cut the bread in half and add white sauce, then a piece of lettuce. Sprinkle with white sauce on the lettuce again, arrange slices of tomato, meat (mushrooms), then add red sauce. Add fresh onion circles if desired. Cheers!
