Strawberry Chia Pudding

Chia is an edible seed that comes from the desert plantĀ Salvia hispanica, grown in Mexico. It originates back from the Mayan and Aztec cultures. "Chia" means strength, and since then these tiny black seeds are great energy boosters. That makes sense, as chia seeds are filled with healthy omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium. Try this delicious pudding with chia seed, and try to have it or other similar to this, at least once per week. You wouldn't mind that, would you? :)

Ingredients
  • 2 cup milk (I use rice milk)
  • 50 g chia seed
  • 2 bananas
  • 10 strawberries (fresh or frozen)
Instructions
  1. Take 2 glasses and fill them halfway with milk, then add the chia seeds into the milk. Leave the glasses in the fridge for at least 2 hours and stir from time to time, so that the chia seeds swell nicely and are evenly distributed in the cup.
  2. Put the fruits in a blender until you get a nice, thick mixture.
  3. Sprinkle the fruit mixture over the milk in the glasses, with the chia pudding already thickened. Decorate as you wish and serve.
