Macedonian Cuisine: Traditional Wholemeal Pasta -Jufki ??

"Jufki" is the name of the traditional Macedonian pasta, which many people still make at home with their bare hands. Although they can be bought ready-made at a store, the traditional pasta taste is still irreplaceable. You do not need to work hard for this dish, they are done in several minutes. I prepare them very simple, and I eat them only with cheese and tomato. Give them a try!

Ingredients
  • 100 g jufki pasta
  • 300 ml boiling water
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dried basil
Instructions
  1. Put the pasta in boiling water, add a little salt and oil and cook for 5 minutes. I used pasta previously baked on wood, so the preparation time is ultra short.
  2. Season with basil and serve with a slice of cheese and tomato.
