Homemade Almond Milk

Learn how to make almond milk at home! Homemade almond milk is healthier than many store-bought options (no gums, chemicals or nasty ingredients) and all you need are almonds, water, some natural sweetener (if you like it a bit sweet), and a blender. That’s it!
Servings: 1 yield(s)
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
Ingredients
  • 1 cup of raw almonds (soaked overnight)
  • 4 cup of cold water (plus more for the previous soaking)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
Instructions
  1. After the almonds have soaked in water overnight, drain and rinse them. Throw the water away.
  2. Place the almonds in your blender along with four cups of fresh, cold water and any optional add-ins.
  3. Blend on high for 2 minutes.
  4. Strain the almond milk through a nut-milk bag or a few layers of cheesecloth into a bowl or large measuring cup (this is an optional, additional rinsing measure. The milk is perfect without this step too). Pour the almond milk into an air-tight storage container and place in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
