Cheese-Stuffed Bread Loaf

Who says that wholemeal bread has to be dense, dry, and tasteless? This 100% wholemeal recipe features the delightfully nutty taste of wheat in a fine-grained, moist, faintly sweet loaf.

Ingredients
    Dough
  • 500 wholemeal flour
  • 3 tbsp sparkling water
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 baking powder
  • Filling
  • 300 g chopped feta cheese
  • 200 g chopped mozzarella
  • 100 g chopped pickles
Instructions
  1. Mix the ingredients for the dough until they are well-blended. Cover the baking tray with a little oil and place half of the dough, flattened into a rectangular shape, and make sure it will be 1cm high.
  2. Sprinkle the placed dough with mixed seeds: peeled sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, and flaxseed.
  3. Arrange the filling over the dough and place a few slices of butter in different places over the filling.
  4. Place the second half of the dough over the filling. Coat the whole pie with a beaten egg and sprinkle again with the mixture of seeds. Bake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.
