Indonesian Dish: Nasi Kunyit (Turmeric Rice) ??

Nasi Kunyit is rice cooked with turmeric and some other great ingredients ("Kunyit" is the Indonesian word for turmeric, "nasi" means rice). This yellow rice represents a famous Indonesian celebratory dish. People in Indonesia usually serve it during weddings and special occasions (they even serve it for the occasion of newborn babies' first full moon!). As it looks like a pile of gold they serve it at those special events to signify good fortune, wealth, and dignity. Check this recipe and feel special on a regular basis! It is gold, indeed! Especially if you make a combination with chicken, as I did in this recipe. Take a look!
