French Cuisine: Nicoise Salad ??

I present you the popular French salad, Salade Nicoise - niçoise - French pronunciation: [niˈswaz]. And yes, your French accent is good. :) It is a salad whose origins are in the French city of Nice. Chefs around the world make it out of small potatoes, cherry or regular tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, olives and anchovies or tuna, green beans or scallions and dress it with special thyme sauce. It can be used as breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you choose. And the most important thing is that all the ingredients are great for your health! I can tell you that the combination is ultimately delicious and you must try it as soon as possible! Once again this meal proves that French chefs really know how to do their job.

Ingredients
    Main salad
  • 6 or more lettuce leaves
  • 2-3 small potatoes (boiled)
  • 2 eggs (hard boiled)
  • a few olives
  • a few cherry or regular tomatoes (cut into small pieces)
  • 1/2 can of tuna
  • 1 scallion (cut in pieces)
  • Dressing
  • 2 tbsp mustard (I use Dijon mustard)
  • 1 tbsp apple or wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp thyme (dried or fresh)
Instructions
  1. Put the eggs and potatoes to boil in one bowl and start making the sauce in another.
  2. Prepare the dressing by placing all the ingredients in a mixing bowl (salt, black pepper, mustard, olive oil, honey, vinegar, thyme). Whisk quickly with a medium-sized spoon or mixer. As soon as the mixture becomes homogeneous, your dressing is ready.
  3. Place the boiled potatoes and eggs on the lettuce leaves together with the tomatoes, tuna, olives and spring onions. Put a little salt on the whole salad and pour the dressing all over it. Enjoy!
