Chicken in Oyster Mushroom Sauce

Oyster mushrooms is one of the most nutritious and healthy type of mushrooms. They are low in calories, fat free and cholesterol free. Ingredients
    Meat preparation
  • 400 g chicken meat
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Sauce Preparation
  • 500 g oyster mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup of plant milk
  • 1 tbsp wholemeal flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/3 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 200 g green peas (canned)
Instructions
  1. Fry the oyster mushrooms in some olive oil or butter. Add the spices, stir and set aside in a separate bowl.
  2. Chop the meat into cubes and place in a bowl. Add the spices needed for the meat, mix and let it stand for 5 minutes. Transfer the meat to a frying pan where the mushrooms were previously fried (with heated olive oil) and fry for 15 minutes over medium heat.
  3. Add the mushrooms back to the pan with the meat, then add the canned peas. Fry for another 5 minutes, then add the warm milk mixed with a tablespoon of wholemeal flour. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.
  4. Serve with potatoes or rice.
